Bob Charron, CPA

Bob Charron, CPA, is a partner at Friedman LLP and serves as the Firm’s Tax Practice Leader. Bob brings more than 35 years of public accounting experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family groups and a range of businesses spanning multiple industries. Bob’s primary focus is enabling Friedman’s tax department to efficiently assist clientele with tax planning and compliance needs to sustain and increase their assets. His expertise encompasses advising clients on the purchase and/or sale of businesses and providing sophisticated guidance on tax and trust and estate planning.

Michael Greenwald, MPPM, CPA

Michael Greenwald, MPPM, CPA, is a partner at Friedman LLP and leader of the firm’s Corporate and Business Tax Practice. Michael has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting and has served clients in a variety of industries including, private equity, real estate, and construction. He brings specialized expertise in real estate and partnership transaction review and consultation, among a host of other areas. His vast technical leadership includes serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the Partnership Taxation Technical Resource Panel of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Randy Kaufman

Randy Kaufman is a Senior Vice President, focusing on EMM’s strategic growth as well as client relationship management. Randy’s expertise includes estate and income tax planning, pre-deal planning, multi-generational issues, impact investing and philanthropy.

Previously, she worked at Evercore Wealth Management as a Wealth Advisor, and at Federal Street Advisors, where she managed the firm’s Family Office Services. Randy also spent seven years at LongVue Advisors, a multi-family office that she co-founded, and six years with Fleet Bank and its predecessor, BankBoston, where she was the founder and managing director of the Wealth Strategies Group in Fleet Bank’s Private Client Group.

Before becoming a wealth adviser in 1998, Randy held various investment banking and tax structuring positions at J.P. Morgan and practiced corporate tax law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She has been a featured speaker over the years on numerous topics, including behavioral finance and philanthropy, the integration of business and personal issues and estate planning strategies.

Randy earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Chicago, and her Bachelor’s degree at Middlebury College.

Bob Knakal

During Bob’s 34-year career, he has sold over 1,871 buildings having an aggregate market value of over $18 billion. He is a graduate of The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and formed Massey Knakal with Paul Massey in 1988. In 1999, he was named to Crain’s New York Business’ Forty Under Forty/ New York Rising Stars list for his outstanding achievement in the New York City business community. He is a two-time winner of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Robert T. Lawrence Award in the Most Ingenious Deal of the Year contest. In 2009, he won REBNY’s Louis Smadbeck Broker Recognition Award for Lifetime Achievement in Commercial Brokerage. On December 31, 2014, Cushman & Wakefield acquired Massey Knakal. In 2018, Bob joined JLL to lead the middle market and institutional investment sales platforms in New York City.

Christina Nielson, MBA

Christina Nielson is the President of Corcapa 1031 Advisors and exclusively focuses on Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) / Tenant-in-Common (TIC) investments with the goal of 100% capital gains tax deferral utilizing Section 1031 Exchange – one of the most valuable tax codes available to investors. Over the last 15 years she has helped investors close over 500 1031 exchange real estate transactions – for clients residing in 27 states – totaling over $400,000,000 in sales price. Christina is a General Securities Principal (Series 24 Registration), is a licensed Real Estate Broker and holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business and Technology from the EDHEC/Theseus University in Nice. Corcapa 1031 has offices in Southern California as well as New York City to serve clients throughout the United States.

Salvatore Russo

Senior Vice President, Head of Research

Salvatore is a partner of the firm, serves as the Head of Research and is a member of the Investment Committee. In his role as Head of Research, he works closely with the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee members to formulate the research team’s priorities. His responsibilities include overseeing the process for identifying, evaluating and conducting due diligence of prospective funds, and monitoring existing investments.

Prior to joining EMM in 2010, Salvatore served as a Director for Tremont Capital Management, Inc. where he researched various hedge funds strategies. He joined the firm in 2003 as Head of Operational Risk and built out an independent team and process for assessing hedge fund operational risks before joining the research team. Previously, he served as Assistant Vice President for JP Morgan, where he spent nearly ten years providing investment consulting services to large corporate and public pension plan sponsors.
